Two East-Coasters find themselves as coworkers in a rural East-Texas town - and decide to escape together.

Brad and Lauren first meet while working events at the Lowman Student Center at Sam Houston State.
After developing a close relationship, Brad finally gets the hint that Lauren would like to be taken on a date. He makes reservations for the two of them at Morton's Grill in the Woodlands, Texas. Afterwards, they walk across the street to see The Lion King.
Lauren and Brad go "Facebook Official."
Lauren earns an internship in Conroe, Texas (much closer to Brad's apartment), so Brad gains 2 new roommates.
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Lauren and Brad move in with Lauren's mom, Noreen (who now gains 3 roommates)!
After 4 years in Texas - Lauren and Brad move back to the East Coast together!
After some career changes, Lauren and Brad move across the Potomac to Alexandria, VA.
September 28th - a gorgeous early-fall day. Brad suggests that Lauren and he get out of the house, but lets Lauren pick the itinerary. After dinner, Brad proposes on the Pier at National Harbor, overlooking the Wilson Bridge and the Potomac River.
